Dry unloading equipment for power plants.
Pneuplan has comprehensive solutions for the material processing of the fly ash from power plants. Dry unloading devices for ash silos are part of Pneuplan’s competencies.
Silos maybe unloaded dry using loading bellows for loading into a tank vehicle or using an ash vaporiser for loading on an open vehicle platform. In this case, the cash may be reused in various processes, for instance as fertiliser.
Dry unloading procedures
Dry ash is unloaded from silos by feeding the ash into loading bellows with a rotary feeder. Thanks to gravity, the ash will fall through the loading bellows into a tank vehicle. The cone in the lower part of the loading bellows will be lowered and placed tightly on the filling opening of the tank vehicle, and the unloading procedure may begin. The loading bellows have so-called double bellows. The ashes will fall through the inner parts, and dust will be removed from between the outer bellows and the inner parts. The dust removal will prevent the dust created in connection with the unloading procedure from spreading into the environment.
The dust removal will be carried out by creating a vacuum between the inner and outer parts of the loading bellows by means of a fan in the loading device or the silo filter. In this case, the dust created in connection with the loading procedure will be directed back to the silo, and the air produced by the fan will be released into the atmosphere through the silo filter. The surface measurement in the loading device will indicate when the tank is full and will terminate the unloading process in a controlled manner, preventing the vehicle from overfilling. The system is automated, and the driver may use a remote control to control it.
