Fly ash silo unloading equipments for power plants
Pneuplan has comprehensive solutions for the material processing of the fly ash for power plants. Silo unloading equipments are also part of our product selection. Unloading fly ash from silos many carried out using either wet or dry unloading procedures.
Unloading systems
In wet unloading procedures, fly ash is fed into the wet unloading device using a feed screw. In the device, the fly ash will be dampened using a double screw and the water fed into the device while the fly ash is unloaded on an open vehicle platform. The wet unloading device is also called a vaporiser. In dry unloading procedures, fly ash is usually unloaded by means of a rotary feeder, through loading bellows into a tank vehicle.
In silos, both unloading procedures may also be used if the silo is equipped with two unloading openings.
The selection of the unloading procedure generally depends on the subsequent use of the ash – whether it will be granulated when dry and then used as fertilizer, or wet and used for purposes such as excavation work.
Pneuplan delivers its own pneumatic silo guns for silo vaulting and blockage problems. Pneuplan’s Pneugun silo guns will produce a rapid pneumatic punch on the silo. Fluidisation unions may also be used to facilitate the unloading of silos.
