No separate flange gasket is needed, because the rubber also acts as a flange gasket. The valve is developed especially to be used for dry powdery materials in pneumatic drainable containers. It is also ideal for use in the process industry.<br \/>\nFrame and handle are aluminium cast. The flap and the axle can be made of structural steel or high-grade stainless steel. The advantage of a butterfly valve is that no special tools are needed for dismantling it. The butterfly valve also has a sturdy handle with locked open\/closed positions.
